Default Re: SOHC ATX Acceleration Slow/Avg/Fast?

~7 seconds to 60 and ~21 seconds to 100 is horrible (compared to a 350z... or VR4.... but not compared to a 98 civic EX), i'm going to be honest. Auto sohc is only a 16 second car...
I have a sohc but it's MTX, making it only a little faster so i'm in the same boat as you. I have just tires and cat back for performance, sounded like u had at least cat back? Today i'm going to try and record a 0-100 see how it compares. Just so hard to shift and point the camera, and steer

Main problem with the motor is that it falls flat at around 4000-4500 and you get no pull... however it is torquey right around 3000 rpm... just if it could steadily increase the torque above 3k rather than drop off. Some day I want to fix that by going intake+long tube headers+75 wet shot.. heheh.
