Think about it, if every time you flipped on your brights, you needed to wait for it to warm up, you might not get the bright light you need in time.

I just run HID lo-beams and Silverstar Ultra hi-beams. It works really nicely, and it's cool to see the white-difference.
Since there is no filament with xenon lights, how can the life be shortened by cycling them? Does anyone know this for a fact? My impression is that the xenon lights should last much longer than halogen.

One reason I'm doing the low, high and fog lights is to have a uniform color. IMO, the halogens look soooo yellow next to xenon which isn't to my liking and I was previously using the Silverstar Ultras. It's true the high beams may take a few seconds to be bright and maybe not the best for "flashing" but once on should be incredibly bright for rural roads, etc.

What needs to warm up - the ballast or the xenon gas? If the ballast, maybe I'll relocate them to a warmer part of the engine bay. I guess they will warm up faster in summer than winter?

I plan to finish the H3 fogs this weekend and will post pics.
