I personally would use JL or some FoCal polyglass subs, they should work pretty well in that box. Or maybe some diamond audio 8's.

I would use 8 ohm subs unless you have an amp that can handle a 1 ohm load, then go for 4ohm.

There certainly are not as many manufacturers that make 8" subs as there used to be.
