Removing the turbo timer isn't a big deal at all really, shouldn't cause you any problems. If you feel like you've done alot of heavy driving before you're about to shut it off, let it idle for 15-30 seconds or so, should be fine otherwise. Most people don't use them in 3/S's. It's like running high octane fuel when your car requires 87. Sure 93 is safer and more resistant to detonation, but you don't really need it.
