Re: boost; what's yours at?
so 15 psi at max should be good? (i dont even know if it's stock or not. my dad doesn't want to call the owner untill we have the registration and title, just in case). i would have called him myself, but i don't think he/she would buy it. "hey, im pj prendergast. im 15, live in new york, and i bought your car off of ebay." not too convincing. and i know, there is an "autometer" brand boost gague in the car. but, as soon as i find out what this thing really has under the hood, i will set it to like 13 psi. but one thing we did was we took out the turbo timer, but how would that affect it? and my dad aparently took it out again today, and driving it up the street (not revving it out alot, but still up there) it would cut out, like a rev limiter, except for the boost, or like grabing the brakes suddently, and then letting off a second later. this hasn't happened before out of all the the other times we took it out for a joy ride. so, im starting to get a little nervous with this car, i dont want to kill such an awesome ride, especially doing something stupid like not knowing why it blew up at 20psi for example. has anyone had that happen before? (the cutting out type thing i stated?)
