Yup...most "universal/bolt-on" kits are not that ...in your case. They require a ton of work and often (if used daily) will cause more issues then its worth.

If its only lambo mode and doesnt open OEM mode (which is everything besides Defts kit as far as i know) and your pistons break, loose pressure (which is common when used all the time) then your going to have to lift that 50lb (guessing) door up all by hand just to get in.

I've also seen these universal kits not allow a good door lineup after installed.

Keep us all posted on how yours comes out. I know people hate paying Deft's price, but man that is one kit that is worth it.
