Is the clutch fine? Could be the clutch chattering. Axles cant slip. They either work...or they break (since they have splines teeth that mate to another surface. If they slipped that means they are broken. That also means your car wouldn't be able to move under its own power.).
That or you are wheel hopping. You didnt describe why you think the axles are slipping.
