lets say ur car has 400 crank hp, which is the horsepower measured at the crank, before the drive train loss, which is really hard to measure. Now, after about 25% loss you put down probs 300AWHP on the dyno. more or less. now say you put in a CFDS or an aluminum flywheel, lighter rims, they will not increase your crank HP, it will still be 400, but you may raise your dyno numbers a little bit, dropping the % loss with each upgrade. so you after all the lighter upgrades, you may dyno at 320AWHP-ish (not sure on exact numbers). make sense? those upgrades wont give you more hp at the crank, but more to the wheels.
