Horsepower is calculated from the torque applied to the dyno rollers.
Torque in ftlbs is multiplied by rpms and then divided by 5252 to equal horsepower. Look at any dyno chart and torque and horsepower are always equal at 5252 rpms. The difference in wheel speed and engine speed is also factored out.
