I have an off topic question... what's the deal with registering a car in SC, I have heard that you have to pay tax on the vehicle every year, is this true? I know for the initial registration there is a small title fee and a 2 yr registration fee and all that but I'm trying to figure out if I have to pay some sort of percentage on the car for any reason... the car was already registered in another state and I have the title and proof of registration in vermont, etc.
