Default Re: Help needed setting tranny bearing preloads

I have never done this before and I just don't want to screw it up.

The input shaft, all the gears and synchros are factory new parts with a new quaiffe differential. I have a lot of money and time invested.

The question is: how do I calculate the spacer size?
Do you add the preload value to the measured value for the preload spacer?
example: .0435 + .0020 = .0455 spacer?

These specs below are really throwing me off. How do you pick one spacer to compensate for intermediate gear preload AND intermediate gear bearing end play or one spacer for Input shaft end play AND input shaft rear bearing end play?
I only have one spacer to install for each shaft.

Intermediate gear preload .0020"-.0040"
Intermediate gear bearing end play .0004"-.0055"
Input shaft end play 0"-.0020"
Input shaft rear bearing end play 0"-.00354"
