I highly disagree. The SOHC performance market is small at best. Shops like IPS, DR, 3sx etc would not benefit from making many SOHC specific parts. 3sx has headers, the SOHC lightweight pulley, and MSD's made for the SOHC.

I can almost guarantee their SOHC buyers are few and far between and business would not boom because they offered cams or anything else. It would end up costing them more money in R&D than they would make with the few SOHC modders out there.

Also your post about SOHC turbo manis for $500 is wishful thinking. Again, R&D would make them cost closer to $1500. Theres a long thread about a company out west (the name escapes me right now) attempting to make a kit. At first the plan was to make them just to use stock TT parts, then they realized it just wasnt feasible and fabbed up a single kit using a T3/T4 turbo.

After all was said and done the thread sort of died due to lack of progress and the fact that the kit itself was going to be so expensive, then you'd have to get the turbo, fuel, management, etc etc etc.

So a long story summed up is that SOHC guys are going to be stuck making custom manifolds if they insist on turboing the SOHC.
