Under hood mirrors
My son and I have been toying with the idea of removing our beat up underhood mat. Instead of replacing it, we decided to put up mirror-stainless down the center section, two smaller inserts in the front corners, and a ring with anodized mesh (concave) above the strut mounts. The quote we got back for the mirror stainless is relatively cheap at $145.00. However, I came across an acrylic mirror that can be ordered in virtually any color, is engravable, and has a wide choice of push on edging to finish it off.(which means I can cut it myself with a jigsaw). It is scratch resistant, fire retardant, extremely light, and comes with a roll of 3m adhesive tape for attachment. Has anyone here worked with this stuff before? The color is in the mix, so it is all the way through, but will it handle a slight bend without distortion? Any helpful tips are appreciated.
