Default Re: output shaft bearing pics

Thanks Jack!!

Thats the kind of answer I was lookin for!!

I know its impossible to tell from the pictures, but the mid case side edge of the ring gear for the front diff and the front output shaft mid case side bearing--both have signs of interference at one time or another.

When I slid the front OS out of the vcu--that bearing came right of by hand!!!

At this point I have three new bearings that I want to put on.

Basically all the bearings on the front OS.

I have :
2x 32009xm90km1 timken taper roller bearings
1x hk2520

I did assume the two taper bearings on the front OS were the same,
so the only thing Im not sure on now is preload.

I read the manual but am not sure

do you measure the solder--then add the preload to that to get the shim thickness???

Can it be easily explained??

any help is really appreciated!!
