Have you tried talking to the person who installed it? I can't say enough good things about Frank, I rebuilt my tranny right before I drove the car to LA (1200 miles) and had what must have been a defective set of synchros, I couldn't shift to 3rd or 4th without grinding and so I babied it to LA and took the car to Frank personally who did everything he could to make it right including have his brothers shop drop the tranny so he could replace the synchros and the gears that got damaged for an EXTREMELY reasonable rate. I'm pretty sure he lost money on the deal, but I have no problem recommending people to him as a result.

I doubt the problem is his tranny, more likely the install but be civil and Frank will take care of you if the problem is on his end.
