well if anyone is listening:



the needle bearing in the splined sleeve that slides into the vcu with the gear that drives the front diff ,got pushed out and then pushed the seal out.

the two taper bearings on that sleeve are suspect also;
the big gear on the front diff shows signs of interference with the bottom bearing of the sleeve.

it would appear that even though I have the plate welded in the bellhousing,
it seems the splined sleeve and gear are being pushed to the bell housing side of the trans.

can I mess with the shim thicknesses to maybe adjust for the torque towards the bell housing????

this next pic shows the force of the gear straight up, so the bearing on the bottom hits the bottom of the gear on the left.
