hey man i've had my rebuilt kormex for about 5 months now and it wasn't what i expected either. it's not as bad as you say with the clunk going into second. but when i try to speed shift into third it's not like super instant which kind of bothers me. i know kormex recommends 10w 30 motor oil... yes i will repeat myself, 10w 30 motor oil and i'm using mobil 1 which i have ran for about 8k miles now and the tranny has pretty much stayed the same. i think i'm going to swap some redline in there and see how that treats me. and bret brinkmann where were you when i had these questions!?!!
but this is a great thread and i am going to try that dragging clutch test right after school and maybe mess with the linkage this weekend. good luck with your tranny driver17 and if i find out anything i will be sure to let you know
