Board Message
If you don't have one already, bring an FRS (e.g. Motorola Talkabout) radio that can do privacy/security channels. You'll have a much better time during the cruise.

Here's more information on the radios...

Whatever brand you get, make sure it's got the CTCSS/Privacy/Security codes so you can talk with us.... so far the three interoperable brands appear to be Cobra, Midland, and Motorola. (Their privacy/CTCSS codes match).
Cheaper FRS radios only have channels 1-14. FRS radios with the CTCSS/Privacy/Security sub-channels have channels 1-14 with subchannels 1-38 in each main channel, ala 1^1-1^38 - 14^1-14^38.
You can still listen into conversations on equipment that doesn't support subchannels, but you can't speak/broadcast.

If we get a big turnout for the drive, we can't hope to keep 30+ cars together as one group. Traffic and lights will interfere. The only way to keep everything together is to split things up into smaller groups led by people who know the course well.
- when it's time to cruise, line up in the shortest line of cars. This will help even out the groups and help everything go smoother. Pretend you're at the checkout lane in the grocery store
- Know which car is leading your group and follow THAT CAR wherever they may go.
- The group leaders will be pointed out in the driver's meeting before we leave.
Doing these things will make the cruise go much smoother and SMOOTH = FUN.
Remember: You are responsible for what you do behind the wheel and on your bike!
