This happened to me once changing the oil on my friend's car. I get it all done, we put oil in, and I tell him to fire it up. I peek under the car to look for leaks and it was just spraying out everywhere. Of course the kid decides to rev the engine up to like 5,000rpm immediately after he gets it started and the large oil spray turns into a high pressure oil spray that shot all the way across the shop...covering me in oil along the way. The whole time I'm yelling at him to shut off the car, but of course he can't hear me because he's got the engine revved up, so not until I stand up and he sees me covered from head to foot in oil does he turn off the car.
Don't you love working with friends who don't know anything about cars?
