if its just a 1/4 i think it would be alright.
here is a pic of my pipeing kit i put in.... i put the t-bolt clamp threads facein up, for easy access.
the best way is just get some clay or something and make it into a ball and set it ontop of your plenum, presto clay plasty gauge
then slam the hood and open TaaDa
