Default Re: Will a FWD trans. hold the power of tt?

May be some help for you:

1991-93 3000gt and stealth twin turbos
-5speed manual awd made by Getrag

1994-95 stealth tt and thru '99 vr4's:
-6speed manual awd made by getrag

all other years of non turbo stealth or 3000gt:
-5speed fwd (not made by getrag)OR
-4 speed automatic fwd (also non-getrag)

I think the latter changed a little bit here and there, but I'm not sure, I never did much with the fwd models of these cars. Regardless, the common swap seems to be a 5 speed awd from an early 3/S since their older and seem to be in cheaper, easier supply.
