No comment about the dress!

As far as coolant, make sure your radiator fans are kicking in. If you have a bad temp sensor or relay the fans do not kick in when they are suppose to causing car to over heat. At highway speeds you would not notice it but when you slow down or get in traffic the fan(s) should be running.
