The dots on the front sprocket should be at about 2:00, and the rear at about 10:00. There is also a triangle on the valve cover behind the sprocket that the dot on the sprocket should line up with. On the rear bank this is harder to see, but the marks are there.

All this happens with the #1 cylinder at TDC.
