overdrive? yes, it wouldn't really fit. but i'm sure that SOMETHING could be modified to use an ATX with more gears. you really only need 1 more planetary gearset to add 2 more speeds (or 3, depending on how your work it). i'd even settle for a CVT. considering newer cars like the fusion come with a FWD 6-speed auto, it really doesn't seem like this should be rocket science.

hell if i REALLY had serious $$$, i'd figure a way to splice an AMG 4-matic, 7-speed directly onto a 6g74 powerplant.

daimler really shouldn't have ever messed with chrysler--they should have just bought mitsubishi.
