Ive been hearing some things... im not trying to start an argument... about the oil pan is supposed to be creased a little inward ( NOT all the way dented in) because that rise in the oil pan pushes sludge to the sides assuring you get good clean oil in your sump.

EDIT: like i said im not saying this is true, but this does have some validity as ive heard it from a few people.
