Haha, what? No, experiment with different apertures (f/stops), as they will lend themselves to different effects. Generally, the sharpest images happen in the f/8-f/16 range. Anything below, or above those apertures will look slightly out of focus due to either a wide open aperture, or diffraction. Remember that as you decrease the size of the aperture (larger number), you increase your depth of field, or the area of the image that is in focus. Also, looking at those night time photos, you seem to have a circular polarizer, not a UV haze filter.
