Ticking Motor...annoying!
I’ve been having a ticking noise over the past few months which lead me to believe it was the lifters. After reading the forums and finding the SOHC does not have lifters I have been trying to figure out what it was.
The ticking sounds like it's coming from the oil pan. Some days the ticking is very quiet, almost unnoticeable. Other days, it’s embarrassing when you stop at a red light. The ticking does not get louder as you rev the motor. The regular engine noise over-powers it after about 1.5k RPM’s. I have already tried an oil flush and holding the RPM’s at 3k, 4k, etc. Please help me!
