Now you know your catalytic converter works!
Considering one of the main functions of a catalytic converter is to oxidize any remaining hydrocarbons, my guess is that it would be very normal for a cat equipped car to have lean O2 at the tailpipe.
The excess fuel and oxygen that exited the engine became water and carbon dioxide at the cat.
Hopefully someone with real-world experience can verify that.
