yea you need to be careful with that. I spotted a red 3000GT on route 42, about 10 cars ahead of me. I wanted to inch closer to him/her and see if it was a car i recognized. I looked over my shoulder so I could get in the left lane and pass some slow moving cars and there was a white van that was maybe a car length and a half behind me. I put my signal on and merged into the left lane, passed the slow moving cars and was about 3 car lengths behind the 3000GT when I saw the cherries light up in my rearview mirror...

I ended up getting an improper lane change ticket. The officer said I cut off the white van and it was almost a dangerous maneuver to warrant a careless driving ticket. He was more interested in what my GReddy E-01 controller was and how exactly it modified my car. When I opened up my glovebox to retrieve my insurance and registration, he was able to see the e-manage unit and then all hell broke loose...asking me a ton of questions as to what it was, why I needed it, and if it alters the emissions of the car. Believe it or not, he radioed in another trooper who was checking under my car to see if I had a cat.

So, all this just to see a 3000GT that was in front of me. Think about it next time you try and catch up to someone
