I am confused as fuck towards the title of this thread as well. The 2 bolts vs. 4 bolt debate was resolved YEARS ago. The biggest thing you have to worry about these cars and making decent power was proven to be the crank. Forged > Cast..everything else is just cornflakes. Mitsu only makes our cranks forged now from what I understand, so..
P.S. Matt Monett has been running 2 bolts on his 11 and 10 second cars since the beginning. Jeremy's car was the nail in the coffin on the debate.

IIRC it was speculated that the bearings on 91-92 Early were slightly thinner (confirmation?) than the 92 Late-UP, which is why 1st gens were known to spin bearing more often. There is data that shows that the cranks are bad news on early models. The 2 bolt v 4 bolt debate died Circa 05/06
