Default Trusted Shops in MD, DE and VA

I'll keep this first post updated, as you guys provide the lowdown on which shops to take your 3/S to, and which to avoid.

Please post the name of the shop, address and phone number if you have it, as well as what type of work you had done there, and your overall experience, whether good, bad or indifferent, and whether you would recommend the shop specifically to another 3/S owner. There's plenty of excellent shops out there, who do great work at reasonable prices, but can't or won't touch a 3/S. Doesn't make them a bad place, it just means they don't have the expertise to work on these cars in particular. So we're better off looking elsewhere (much to their relief, I am sure!) for another shop that is experienced and comfortable working on these unique cars and their idiosyncracies.

I'll start off with a few:

Salisbury, MD

Grant's Service Center
Isabella St. & Rt. 50, Salisbury
410 742-3243

3/S friendly? limited to basics, strictly by the book
3/S work done? fuel filter, basic brake job, belts, hoses
Excellent, trustworthy shop overall. If they don't feel comfortable doing a particular job on my Stealth, they say so, which I appreciate. But if they are willing to do any work at all on it, I can count on it being done right.

Reeven's
Northwood Drive, Salisbury, MD

3/S friendly? yes, to some extent, but I'm not going to push my luck!
3/S work done? installed my Borla exhaust wth custom test piping, replaced steering rack and pinion assembly, replaced tie rods, control arms but forgot to lube them

Montgomery County, MD

Altered Atmosphere

3/S friendly? yes, but avoid this shop like the creeping plague. Search these forums for more info on them. ;(
3/S work done? took 3 months to "rebuild" my transmission, but didn't actually rebuild it...pulled a junk tranny/transfer care out of a '91 TT and stuck it in there, instead of the rebuild I paid for. Found out it now had an 18 spline transfer case/tranny (impossible for my 1993 TT's build date) when the transmission failed with a stripped output shaft mere months later, and of course denied all knowlege of it. Many more horror stories, just search these forums. Dishonest and don't stand behind their "work".

Extreme Motorsports
Odenton, MD

3/S friendly? yes
3/S work done? 60k service, inc. timing belt, replaced motor mount
Has an AWD dyno. Clean, professional operation geared for the serious high performance enthusiast. Knowlegeable and up to date.

Hagerstown, MD

Auto Velocity
Hagerstown, MD

3/S friendly? yes, a specialty!
3/S work done? electronic boost controller installation, electrical gremlins sorted out
Works almost exclusively on the 3/S, knows these cars inside and out. A one man shop for now, so it can take a little while to get an appointment, but worth it.

Baltimore, MD

Woodbrook Sunoco Service Center
6207 North Charles Street
Baltimore, MD 21212
410-753-4373

3S friendly? Yes. (Owner is 3S member and owns one of them)
Type of work? Just about anything except dyno.

Chantilly, VA

DTMotorsports
Off Rt. 50 in Chantilly, VA

3S friendly? Greg, one of the techs, owns a 3000GT and works on them. Owner is AEM certified tuner.
Type of work? Recommended for AEM tuning

Sterling, VA

Dulles Auto Body

3S friendly? Has performed 3/S alignments wth good results
Type of work? Recommended for alignments, uses laser alignment machine
