Just my by MAS its as much as 100 degree difference entering the system. On a cold night I can see 3x degrees at the MAS and on a warm day like today its in the 13x at the MAS. That 100 degree difference has a impact at the TB. If you lower the intake temps at the MAS you are lowering the intake temps down the line too because the IC's don't have to work as hard. I mean they are air to air aside from Xwire, there is only so much they can do in the microseconds that the air spends traveling through the intake.

I wish someone with a cold air wall, or one of those ram air hoods (victory,575), and even purely vented hoods like the evo could give numbers. You always hear of but dynos and even some comment of their times and top end improvement. Now lets get some numbers as to why.
That's very true. I still have not had the time to fix my lower intake plenum yet, so I can't give numbers yet.

Like I mentioned before though, when I initially put the Victory hood on my car, it lowered the underhood temps enough to lower my Intake temps at the TB by 10-15* F
