Hi guys so for the last couple weeks I have been getting a vibration which I though was a bent rim I had on the car. I left the car alone until I could get a hold of another set of wheels to see if it was really the wheels causing the vibration. I Put some wheels on and took the car for a ride and the freaking Transfercase locked up at 15mph
I didnt hit anything and I am very glad I wasnt going fast, weird because I didnt see any leaks
. I purchased a good transfercase from someone and today I dropped the car off at the mechanics. I knew that my carrier bearings were shot so I went ahead and purchased those as well a few weeks back.
Well today I get a call from my mechanic and he says that the driveshaft is "Frozen" and that I probably needs a whole new driveshaft. What do you guys recommend I do I am pretty low on funds and this is my daily driver. I did read about the Carbon fiber Driveshaft and about aluminum and looked into a few used once. I dont know what to do and I really cant be doing this twice I want to do it once and forget about it. Any input would be greatly appriciated. Thanks a lot!
