i'm willing to bet 99.9% of the guys who bought the seat covers from leatherseats.com had never redone their seats before and i have yet to see anyone screw up bad enough that they had to buy new seats. if you don't have the skills, ability, or aptitude to work on your car, then expect to pay more. i'm willing to bet that the vinyl ebay covers will be just as hard as installing the leatherseat.com covers. the advantage is that with real leather, u don't have to worry about it coming apart and/or fade in 4-5 years like vinyl. if u can't afford the real leather, then why not just buy seat covers at napa or something? it'll be even cheaper than the ebay stuff and when it gets gross and dirty, u can buy new covers.

maintaining these cars can be quite expensive. my side bolster is shot to hell, but i'm waiting till i'm done with my performance to fix it up. if you can't or won't do your own mods or maintenance, then don't whine about things costing more.
