I have 11:1 and I can run 89 octane all day. I'm willing to bet you could do 12:1 on premium. However one of my biggest regrets was going higher compression because I killed FI options down the road for a smidgen of horsepower.
I basically did an all out NA build and it's more like 20k after you realize hardcore racing parts don't make good daily driver parts... and that your NA transmission was not built to take the increased torque.
And it doesn't sound anywhere near that ricey 3startuna, it sounds very similar to an LS1 with magnaflows. Boring out + cammy heads for more mid to low range will sound meatier. The kind of tuning done in those clips is for high end which will sound more like a race car.
Anyways a full out NA build results in a hell of a fun car to drive, and decently powered too. Would I recommend it? No. I could have dropped an actual LS1 in for about half the price and get twice the results.
