Make sure you don't have any blown fuses. I blew Fuse 12 on the drivers side kick-panel area. With that fuse blown, my car would crank but would never actually fire up.
Also you can pull a spark plug wire and touch it to ground and see if you are getting any spark when you try cranking the engine.
You can get a refurbished ECU from O'Reillys Auto Parts for 250.00 + a core charge.
