Well I started my TT conversion tonight. Guess ill give some background. I am 17 years old and I am converting my 1993 Mitsubishi 3000GT base into a Fwd-TT. Being 17 money is tight so sometimes things are hard to buy. I am doing the conversion by myself and with a friend in times that I need a partner. I am hoping to have the conversion done by march just in time for spring. The car is off the road anyway for winter so I thought I would start my project. I go to highschool and work as a CNC machinest after school so most of the work will be on weekends. I researched for 3 monthes before starting the project and I feel like I am ready to tackle it.
My setup will be 9b's running off a TT ecu and harness, S-afc II, Uego probably, and all the basic conversion parts.
Guess Ill start will update 1.
UPDATE 1
Started off by switching over my NA fuel pump with a stock TT. I bent my NA assembly to accomadate the extra length of the TT pump. Then used a hose clamp to ensure a stable position. The only big problem that occured with this part is that when taking off the high pressure line, the connection at the bottom of the car was rusted so the bolt would no spin but the line would. I tried to spin off the line by twisting it up but ended up tearing the soft line. I did get it off eventually. I fixed the seized nut by heating up my highly explosive fuel line

, I plugged the end with a pencil

. The bolt spun free after breaking the rust off. Now I just need to find a new soft line. Hopefully the stealership can get me one. I tested the new pump by cranking over the car and catching the gas in a can. Works great.
Today I also dropped the whole exhaust system up to the headers. I started cracking some of the header nuts off but I have to break down the car more to get to all of them. Need 1 more manifold gasket to put the new headers on anyway. I am not going to do much more till I get more parts. I have about 3/4 of what I need. I will be making some more progress next weekend.
Heres a few pictures of the car...this is when I was doing the 60k tune up. I will have pictures of my progress as I go.
Just for giggles...
