(when i die, i think i'd like to be buried with my tools.) but sure, i can help you replace the rack and do the A/C work if you want. i'm not very familiar with the A/C system, but i know the general idea of the system and how its supposed to work. as for the old steering rack, the worst thing that could happen would be for the fluid to leak out, in which case it would only be difficult to steer below 20 mph. your forearms would get huge in no time!

so i'm down for this weekend. i work saturday 7-3, so i could come out in the afternoon. just let me know. otherwise i'll spend all weekend playing Halo 3 which is released tuesday night at 12:01am.
Sent ya a PM.

I've heard that everyone is juiced about Halo 3. I'm kinda sorry I missed that bandwagon as I don't have an Xbox and never have. I was talking to someone at a Gametrader today about it and he says its the only reason he still has an Xbox cause otherwise he was going to sell it on Ebay.

Yeah the rack has a bad leak and the boot that covers the rod is pretty much in half. The outer and inner tie rod ends are in need of replacement.

A/C - I bought the Autozone DVD on how to do the A/C. Haven't watched it yet, but I'm sure it'll be a nice guide. It doesn't seem too difficult, but my main concern was actually what to do with the old refrigerant. Was thinking of having someone drain it at a shop first before doing the work. I don't want to breath that stuff and don't feel that great about letting it out into the atmosphere although I know other probably do all the time.

Unfortunately now I'm not sure about this weekend as these last couple of days have pumped out some family drama which may have me leaving asap at my own will and the problem interferes with everything I do including working on the car.
