I have heard good things about the megasquirt, and for the price, its alsmost a steal, one of my friends who own a 93 stealth TT is sporting one plus he changed his coil packs into MSD's, I have no knowledge what this can do if paired with the megasquirt.
If you're willing to spend up to $700, then why not go for a stand alone? I would recommend the AEM EMS, but if you want to go a bit far, I'd go for a POWER FC plus the COMMANDER. You can load settings in the software that you can virtually change inside the car. I would go for a dyno for some mapping of the software and just go from there.
