Re: jdm 6spd question
1st gen JDM W5MG1 = 1st gen USDM W5MG1 :3.545 Final ratio
2nd/3rd gen JDM W5MG1: 3.545 Final ratio
2nd/3rd gen USDM W6MG1: 3.307 Final Ratio
JDM 2G/3G final ratio is only compatible with USDM 1G final ratio (JDM final ratio). That is why you need a USDM/JDM 1G rear diff when you swap a 2G USDM W6MG1 to a 2G JDM W6MG1 to syncronize final ratio.
There is only one transmision available for JDM 2nd/3rd JDM GTO Twin Turbo: W6MG1: 3.545. There is no such GTO MR transmission existing. That is just a propaganda. However, there are two types of JDM GTO Twin Turbo rear differentials: regular 3.545 diff and GTO MR Hybrid diff 3.545.
Choice of 3/S TT transmission depends on how you use your vehicle. If you targeted top speed, USDM 6 speed 3.307 is probably your choice. If you aimed quarter mile, five (JDM/USDM) or six (JDM) speed with 3.545 are good, If you run 1G TT, you may want to switch 18 spline to 25 if you do drug races.
