This is quite common and in most cases caused by fuel control solenoid on the firewall. When engine is hot solenoid applies atmosphere pressure (instead of vacuum) to the pressure regulator. The idea is to make car run richer first couple of minutes. To test this theory in your case connect fuel pressure regulator to plenum directly and see if it help. It's a part of vacuum reduction mod.
