If you ever take a look at your wideband o2 results and as you come off of throttle you'll notice there's a momentarily rich spike. This rich spike will feed incorrect information when comparing to your AFR target map and it is this reason why the AFR target map gets a bad rap. You would need to capture many samples under normal driving conditions before the AFR number can be trusted/validated.
