I know it is not the best, and it will not last forever. But I'm not banking on it to. I just want it to last a couple of years till I swap for a TT tranny.
I have never been to the drag strip and am not making a drag car so it should last me.
What was your experience with it? How long were you running before it went out. Did the springs fail or did it grenade?

I think it will kill your car even quicker for the fact that you have the regular FWD 5 speed which the diff is known to blow up period. Even welding the pin in like my freind did it just blew the diff housing to pieces. why add more stress to a part that is known to break. I lasted with mine i wanna say about 5 months im not sure its been so long. I know as wildarmz said im not easy on the car, but what diff should not be able to go through hell? On the opposite I was quite gentle on it, it made noise going around corners, and it did do its job for a bit but then all it did was the same thing a normal open diff does. I lost my sfr when i hit a rain puddle jumping into traffic, the rpms flew up some not too much and i let off then boom heard the tragic sound, costing me transmission repair, and more F*cking money then i wanted to spend. So no it won't be fine for normal driving because thats when the POS blew out on me! It would have been more cost effective for me to go straight to the true diff, much more now that Supercar got quaife to make one and quaife gives Lifetime warranty. I know of 2 other members that lost their trasnsmissions and one of them lost multiple, due to SFR insert. It even made him lose interest in the car completely and sold it, braincrater! so I'd stay away from it, its kinda like trying to make a hooker into a house wife!
