I'll be doing local, probably if anything the furthest I'll go is michigan, wisconsin but I"ll be back the same day. Haven't met any "lot lizards" yet, but boring as hell being docked and waiting for the load to get done. We were stuck in Alsip for 3 hours sitting. But whatever when I start driving I"ll be paid by the hour so it's all good.
As far as what I'll be rolling in, it looks as though they have a double of the international we roll in, plus the owner is planning on getting some new trucks so we'll see, I've been eyeballing a freighliner classic cuz it looks so cool, but from what I hear, as far as local work goes, it's better to have a short sleeper(which the internal does) cuz of all the backing up you do. I"ve seen the Kenworth and that looks like a bitch to back up cuz the tractor is long. It doesnt matter as long as I dont have to ride in a day cab.
I gotta invest in a PSP now though. Hopefully I should be taking the driving test next weekend.
