No, I've already assembled and finished the MC rebuild. This is a metal ring around the base or face of the caliper pistons themselves. A the base of the caliper piston where the piston would meet with the brake pad just about at the edge of the piston around the rubber accordian style boot that surrounds each caliper piston there is a metal ring. Should this remain there? or do I take it off? I guess I'll have to see about getting a pic up.
