Well if it isn't bad enough that I have to fix the car itself, I had to stop to fix a TOOL earlier. Unbelievable to me the LOCK LUG broke as I was removing the first wheel. The squiggly part inside the lock lug that is custom for the lug to lock in place with the one on the wheel CAME OFF as I was trying to knock the lug loose. I had thought this lock lug was completely all welded together somehow, but apparently the custom locking part is just tight-fitted into the generic lug. Anyway, I found a rather large and heavy pipe wrench and banged it back in place ruining a small 3/8" driver as I did so. Once I got it far enough in I put it on the wheel and knocked it the rest of the way back together with a rubber hammer while hoping I wouldn't ruin the lug/stud on the wheel. Well it WORKED thank God cause I would've had to get another one from Mitsu to continue which would've postponed servicing my car another 2 weeks since I'm going out of town soon.
Car is up on all 4 jacks again with wheels off ! HOORRAAY... now for some brakes.
*Unfortunate discovery during removing the wheels: Apparently I didn't buy an impact gun with enough emph. It didn't say so on the box, but my impact gun only goes to 90psi max. The compressor is 120psi max. The gun would not remove ANY of the lugs so I had to loosen them all. To save a LIL time I still used the gun to remove them all after they were loose, but I think at some point I'm going to get a beefier gun.
Does anyone know what the turning knob at the bottom of the impact gun does? It has a 1-2-3-4 on it. I've used impact guns before, but don't remember what that does.
