I just drained out the pennzoil synchromesh and whatever I had in the t-case(redline stuff Shockproof I believe). The tranny still had quite a bit of stuff on the magnetic plug and I noticed some brass/copper/gold flakes in the drain pan. I then filled up the tranny/tcase with some Royal Purple stuff.

As far as what I did... I ran straight MaxGear for the t-case and I did a 2 qt synchromax/.5 quart Max Gear mix for the tranny(not exact, I know it's only 2.4qt)

I'm going to try the royal purple stuff out to see if I get better mileage out of these fluids before trying the Mobil1 10w30 stuff. I kinda feel better using spec'd oils and the royal purple name doesn't hurt either. So the Mobil 1 thing may have to hold off if the Royal Purple is solid stuff.
