I think you read into the thread what you wanted to hear.

"Commited the cat"? I haven't heard that one before...

Its an interesting science experiment, but I don't see how the car could've run. There's no sort of engine mounting solution in the back. I don't see how you'd be able to get power to the wheels with them being forward of where the motor would sit (if there was one there). In order to get the axles anywhere near lined up with the rear hubs you'd have to mount the whole motor backwards with the tranny on the driver's side, and then in drive the axles are rotating the wrong way. No radiator or hoses?

There's a lot of issues that don't look to be solved yet.
