I just had new control arms installed (which should have nothing to do with the ABS) and am now observing the same behavior - the ABS light flickers at startup and stays off until I start driving, when it consistently illuminates. According to the manual, this is indicative of a faulty speed sensor, but it is not clear how to check the ABS ECU codes without a MUT, and a quick search on 3SI reveals no clear procedure for doing so. Has anyone done it? How? I can see ECS codes by jumping pins 4 and 5 and connecting a voltmeter to the jumper (-) and to pin 3 (+) and watching the needle deflections... is there a pin for ABS codes?
