Default what could cause a 25 spline whirrling noise followed by extreme heat..?

Any advice is appreciated on this one.. I have a 25 spline tranny on my 92 VR4 after about 400+ miles of driving on a 40k miles tranny, never launched, not driven hard; only seen 14psi, rps FW and 6-puck, used only redline fluids.
axles with about 8k miles on them,
Began to notice a whirrling noise, actually sounded like a bearing noise or a small exhaust leak..(checked for that as well--wasn't it) I've checked everything axles, mounts, everything on suspension, exhaust is new. new CF driveshaft, new TOB, slave cylinder, etc. new axle seals, etc, input, output bearings.

Noise begins around 2500k rpms and is in everygear including neutral,, Reverse is the worst. when one hits the gas,, very noticeable, and when rpms drop,, it is followed by a small "clunking" sound. Also the tranny gets extremely hot.. you can touch it and it feels like touching and exhaust manifold.

Plenty of fluid in it,, flywheel/clutch looks ok. it shifts fine, no power loss and clueless as to what it could be?? Bearing failure?

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Thanks
